Introduction

NOTE: This is mainly for my own OCs, so the wording will mostly focus on them, but the boundaries listed here apply to my personal AU versions of canon characters too (just replace "my OC/Character" with "AUCC/AU Canon Character). Before you get mad, I'm NOT saying you can't use certain canon characters. I don't own the CCs, I can't set that rule. I'm just asking you to follow certain boundaries if you want to make content of my personal AU takes of CCs specifically.
---- Ex. you can make whatever fancontent of Rambley from Indigo Park you want; I don't own him and can't set the boundaries for how he's used. However, I do have some control over the Rambley in my AU because it's my personal take on how he'd be in my AU, meaning I'm allowed to set some boundaries on that version of him. Basically, what you do with Rambley is none of my business, but it does become my business when it goes from "Rambley from Indigo Park" to "The Rambley that exists in whatever username I use on the site's AU."
---- Some canon characters in my AU didn't get major changes. I won't get mad at you for using a CC's canon design/lore/etc; that would be dumb. Just don't say the art is taking place in my AU (unless it's actually supposed to be).
If you're unsure of whether I'll be okay with something involving my OCs and/or AUs, it may be best that you don't include them, or at least ask me about whether I'm okay with it or not first. I don't mind you asking questions! My OCs and AUs are not for public use unless I say otherwise! No, you can't start a full-blown fandom space for them and expect me to be comfortable with it. You may only use my OCs and/or AUs for content if: You're a trusted friend of mine, you're making a gift for me, or if I've given you explicit permission to use them. Keep in mind: Many of my AUs and OCs are very personal to me and exist for comfort/vent reasons, not only for fun.I've also been writing individual boundaries for each OC on their Toyhouse and Art Fight profiles. If you want to know the rules for a specific character, here's my Toyhouse and Art Fight.
----Some OCs may be on auth only, private, or not uploaded at all. If you need to look at a certain OC's profile but can't find it, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
---- Some AU CCs may be on Art Fight since they apparently allow AU CC character pages now. TH won't have them since the site doesn't allow it.
---- Ultimately, if you can't find a certain character and/or are unsure about something, don't be afraid to ask me questions! Otherwise, please at least try to stick to my general rules/boundaries.

Character Usage Boundaries

Note: I copy-pasted this from Toyhouse, so some of it may only make sense in the context of that site.--------NOT OKAY WITH/PLEASE AVOID---------- NSFW and fetish art (sexual and "non-sexual"). I'm not okay with non-sexual non-doll nudity of my OCs either. Making this content of my OCs will get you blocked and blacklisted at least.- Extreme gore; grimdarks (ex. Making an AU where one of my good OCs is an evil murderer. I'll make the AU myself if I want something like that; if that AU already exists then you can draw fanart for it as long as you have permission and any gore included isn't extreme). If you want to draw gore of one of my OCs, you need to ask unless I explicitly state otherwise for that specific OC! If you don't ask to draw gore of my OC beforehand and end up drawing something that makes me uncomfortable, you might get blocked depending on the situation.- Content supporting pedo/zoo/incest/necro/noncon. You will be blocked and blacklisted at the least if you use my OCs for this content, and you will not be given a second chance. In general, just keep my OCs away from shock content involving these topics or content that romanticizes these topics.- Gross-out humor. No, just no.- Political art (aka art based on real world issues that tend to get associated with politics), especially art that promotes conservative beliefs (ex. pro-life, anti-lgbt, etc) because these beliefs are harmful to me and many others. Even if you're using my OCs to promote beliefs I agree with, I'd prefer you leave my OCs out of it. If I want OC art related to real world issues, I'll draw it myself. These topics stress me out really badly, so I'm trying to keep my engagement with political topics to a minimum for the sake of my sanity. One of the main purposes of my OCs is escapism and comfort; I don't need more reminders that the real world sucks. This does not mean you can't draw pride art of my OCs. As long as you're not changing their genders or sexualities in the art, pride art is fair game!- Hate content, aka using my OCs to promote/show hatred towards a user, fandom, etc. You will likely get blocked if you do this this. Of course, if you hate my OCs, don't make hate content of them, you will get blocked if you do. I don't tolerate that kind of toxicity.- Fankids (unless I asked you to make the fankid for me or I said it was okay to make fankids for the characters if you plan on giving them to me; the same applies to fanrelatives in general). I am, however, okay with you drawing your OCs with mine platonically. Just don't make my OC a relative of yours or part of their canon backstory. In other words, any friendships between my OCs and yours should be kept casual. Our OCs can be enemies too, but again, keep it casual, don't put my OCs in your OC's canon backstory. Please ask to make our OCs friends/enemies first, though (you don't have to ask if it's a one-off drawing, like an Art Fight attack or something). If you want to take the connection past a single drawing or two though, I'll likely only say yes if I know you well. We can also link our OCs on TH if you want, just ask!- Fanships Please don’t ship yourself, your OCs, or other characters in general with my OCs unless I've said I'm okay with you doing so. Also please don’t ship my OCs with other OCs of mine if I don’t state that the characters are in a relationship or have crushes on each other. Many of my OCs are used in comfort ships, and seeing them and their partner(s) split up is genuinely distressing for me. If you're a friend/mutual and want to ship your OCs with mine, I'm still not comfortable with it, sorry.- Fanfictions (unless I asked for the fanfiction to be made or if I said I was okay with you using my OCs in the story). Similarly, I am not okay with other people using my OCs for roleplay. I will block you if you keep roleplaying as my OCs or using them in fanfictions after I've told you to stop.- Unsolicited AUs and CBCs (kinsonas, dekudogs, etc)! If I ever find unsolicited CBCs or AUs of my OCs, they will be reported when possible. I will also block and blacklist you.
---- If for any reason you absolutely have to identify as my OCs, keep it private and don't post about it publicly! I don't want to know about how you identify as insert OC here.
---- DNI if you identify as my OCs. I know identifying as certain people/characters isn't always voluntary, but I don't feel comfortable interacting with someone who identifies as my OCs for any reason, especially if they're identifying as me/my sonas or my F/Os. The thought of someone identifying as me or these characters makes me extremely distressed.
---- As for AUs, that pretty much ties into the fanfiction rule. When I say I'm not okay with AUs, that also means I'm not okay with unauthorized redesigns of my OCs either. I won't get mad at slight changes or alternate outfits that don't break my boundaries, but major redesigns/rewrites (ex. changing a character's race/ethnicity, changing a character so much that they don't even look like the same character, giving them a completely different personality that doesn't suit them at all, etc.) might get you blocked depending on the severity.
- Compare yourself or other real people to my sonas. Comparisons such as "we both like x" are fine, but please don't be like, "x looks like me/this person in real life". If I feel that you had bad intentions by breaking this rule, you'll get blocked.- Pregnancy and birth themes (even references like pregnancy tests, a character telling another character they're pregnant, a character holding their baby in the hospital because the character just gave birth, etc). Putting my OCs in a scenario that involves pregnancy/birth, even if the OC has biological kids, will likely get you blocked. I don't like to think about the pregnancy/birth aspect when it comes to my OCs having kids and will not bring it up in their stories unless it's absolutely relevant. I will be slightly more lenient with the last example (a character holding their baby in the hospital), but drawing my sonas like that is a hard no because they would never willingly birth kids. None of my sonas actually carried or birthed their kids in the traditional ways.- Drawing my non-human OCs that don't already have human forms as humans without asking. In my head, a lot of my non-human characters already have specific ethnicities and skin tones that I’d make them when drawing them as humans. The human ethnicities of my non-human characters aren't always determined by their species origin, species name, or color palette, so please don't assume their race. This especially goes for anthro characters, who are basically a different version of humans in my stories, meaning they’ve spread out, mixed together, etc. and may not even come from the place where their animal species originated in real life.
---- The "Species/Race" section isn't actually used for the OC's ethnicity (that's typically mentioned somewhere else in the bio if the OC has a specific ethnicity). In this context, "race" doesn't equal the OC's human ethnicity, but rather what type of creature or breed they are (ex. a husky is a dog breed, so that would be the husky OC's "race"). I just use "race" instead of "breed" because I use the template that includes this section for every OC, including my human OCs, and putting "Species/Breed" on a humanoid character's profile comes off as dehumanizing. tl;dr "Species/Race" does not equal ethnicity.
- Create headcanons that completely mischaracterize my OCs, including changing their sexualities and gender identities. If a character is trans, gay, straight, bi, lesbian, ace, etc, it will be stated on their profile. I am also uncomfortable with people giving my characters religious headcanons/headcanoning what religions my characters follow.- Cosplays. It would be cool in theory, but I've seen how out of hand the cosplay community can get, so I'm not comfy with other people cosplaying my OCs.- Use my OCs to make AI content. No, just no!!!- Drastically change the body types of my OCs. I'm a bit more lenient with this rule since I know in some cases it has to do with skill, but I’d highly prefer that you at least try to keep my plus sized characters plus sized, my skinny characters skinny, yadayada you get the point. Their bodies don’t have to look exactly like the way I draw them, but please don’t intentionally change their body types because you “think they look better that way” or whatever.- Use my art or my OCs in general for profit. I may be more lenient with this rule if the art was made for you or if you're just using something you made of my characters as commission examples, but if you take an image of my OC (or art I made in general) and, let's say, put it on a T-Shirt and sell it, I'm not comfortable with that, even if it's just for your own personal benefit (unless the art was made for you).----------------------------------------------------I don't necessarily mind, but still these things are kinda iffy:- Dreamie folders. As long as you don’t add my sonas to them). I may also be uncomfortable with having major comfort OCs (ex. Diva Rose, Marino, Kitten Witten, etc.) being put into dreamie folders. Otherwise, I don’t mind dreamie folders too much as long as you don’t offer on the OCs. The only time you can offer is if the OC is marked as up for adoption. Offering on forever homed OCs (especially if they’re a sona or something) may get you blocked.- Making different forms for my OCs. Depends on the scenario; usually I'll specify on my OC's TH or AF profile whether I'm okay with other people drawing them in new forms (ex. drawing a cat OC as a pony despite the OC not having a pony form) or not without asking. If you're unsure about something, please ask! If they already have an alternate form for what you had in mind, you don't need to ask and can go ahead and draw that form.- Meme/joke art. I love art like this, HOWEVER, there are certain memes and jokes that make me uncomfortable, so that's why I consider this type of art iffy. I'd prefer that you got my approval before making art like this of my OCs unless you know it's a meme/joke I enjoy (aka if I've posted positive stuff about it or even used it or something).
